Greyhound - Labrador Retriever - Young - Female
Adoptable Medium Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shotshousetrained

Lila is very sweet and affectionate. She is good with women and most men. Her surrendering owner was a man, and she was good with him, but isn’t enamored of her current foster’s husband.

She’s house-trained and leash-trained. She doesn’t like to crate and will bark / whine because she wants to be close to her family. She is a very devoted little girl, so being surrendered for rehoming has been difficult for her.

Lila loves cats. She seems to think she’s a feline and will need an owner who can lovingly and consistently help her realize that she a dog. She will tolerate other dogs, and we’ve had her with others during adoption events. We intentionally choose quiet dogs who don’t pay attention to her. She has become more comfortable, but doesn’t initiate or respond to playful interactions.

Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we frequently have to make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.

A vet reference is required to confirm responsible pet ownership. We suggest first time pet owners look for an adult dog for companionship and to gain experience.

All adoption fees cover two vaccinations plus spay / neuter if using our veterinarian and surgery occurs as agreed upon. Additional fees for 3rd puppy vaccination, refundable spay/neuter deposit, etc. may apply. We are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. Available animals can be seen most Saturdays at Tractor Supply in Lenoir from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For more information on our organization, our website is
