Nyx

Hound - Young - Female
Adoptable Medium Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shots

Nyx and her sisters have been very happy at their owner’s home. However, he isn’t able to get them out to socialize so they are very skittish.

With a birthday guesstimated in Feb. 2017, Nyx is about 52 lb.

Although she doesn’t want to walk on a leash, she’s willing to walk up to volunteers with a wagging tail in the adoption event. Initially she was afraid to make eye-contact with anyone.

Nyx should be considered a project dog and not a turn-key dog. She will need time and attention to become used to walking with people on a leash. She doesn’t use the bathroom in her corral during the adoption events, waiting all day until returned to her home.

Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we frequently have to make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.

A vet reference is required to confirm responsible pet ownership. We suggest first time pet owners look for an adult dog for companionship and to gain experience.

All adoption fees cover two vaccinations plus spay / neuter if using our veterinarian. Additional fees for 3rd puppy vaccination, refundable spay/neuter deposit, etc. may apply. We are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. Available animals can be seen most Saturdays at Tractor Supply in Lenoir from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For more information on our organization, our website is www.petpartnersrescue.org.
